HOW DID THIS COME ABOUT?
In the past few years, many changes have led us to consider developing more long term self-sufficiency for Stickerville; the exorbitant and increasing costs of renting portable toilets, the uncertainties of the fiddle contest attendance, the exclusion of campers from the high school fields, and the increase of both families and elders in our community. Building our own toilet and shower rooms creates a long term, cost effective solution to ever increasing rental costs and reduces our vulnerability to changing circumstances in the surrounding community and businesses. And, it makes it more likely that our elders will be able to keep coming to Weiser, while new folks can come and fall in love with this remarkable and singular cultural event for generations.
A bathroom committee from our membership formed, we developed a program, researched all sorts of ideas, evaluated options and recommended to the board and membership at large that we build a simple building to code that is designed to meet our needs. (We thank Mark Snyder, architect, musician and Weiser devotee, for donating his time and expertise to help us clarify our program needs and design this for us.)

NOTE: We use the Company Zeffy for donations and payment processing. Zeffy does not charge Weiser Friends of the Fiddle a fee for using their service, so 100% of your payment will go directly to Stickerville. A voluntary contribution to Zeffy will be suggested before the payment step of this transaction. This contribution is NOT a requirement to continue with your payment, though the contribution allows Zeffy to continue providing this service free of charge to non-profits.
Unlike other donation platforms, Zeffy does not charge transaction fees, so your entire donation goes directly to Weiser Friends of the Fiddle. However, the platform does give you the option to add a tip to help Zeffy keep running its services. If you do not wish to add a tip, in the confirmation message, just choose ‘Other’ in the drop-down menu and then enter $0.
